We are pleased to inform you that St. Nicholas Academy will be operating a hot lunch Program for the 2010 – 2011 school year. Please note the information below.

Lunches this year will operate under the guidelines of the Ohio Department of Child Nutrition Services. We are required to offer 5 meal components and students are only required to take 3 of the 5 choices offered. Milk is one of the choices offered. A hot dog on a bun or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich will be offered as an alternative to the main entrée. Orders will be taken in homeroom in the morning

Lunches will be sold for $2.50each/$12.50 per week and extra milk or juice can be bought for $.30. Milk and snack items must be paid for at the time of purchase. Lunch money will be collected by the student’s homeroom teacher each morning. All monies sent to school must be sent in an envelope with each student. The envelope must be clearly marked with the student’s name and homeroom. If paying by the week, please mark the days the student is eating hot lunch. You may prepay as many lunches as you wish. Please send the first payment with your child on the first day of school. All checks are to be made payable to St. Nicholas Academy.

Students will not be allowed to charge lunches. Occasionally, a student may forget to bring lunch money. In that case, the student will be offered a hot dog, or peanut butter and jelly sandwich and one of the side items for that day. Payment should be made for these lunch items the following day.

Free and reduced lunch applications are available upon request. Anyone receiving benefits last year will continue to receive them until the new applications are received.

Menus will be sent home monthly.

Tuesday 8/24                        Cheeseburger, french fries, mandarin oranges, milk

Wednesday 8/25                   Chili, chips and cheese, green beans, pears, breadstick, milk.

Thursday 8/26                       Hot dog, corn, applesauce, macaroni and cheese, milk.

Friday 8/27                            Cheese pizza, baby carrots with dip, peaches, animal crackers, milk.
